How can I tell if a vehicle has filled up?

Introduction

Fuel data coming from an Analog or CAN input can be used to generate fuel fill up alerts, i.e. the fuel level rises quickly or by a large value.

Hardware Requirements

Data must come to the platform in the form of Analog or CAN data, and must reflect the fuel tank level. Please speak to your hardware provider about the options available to you for getting this type of data to the platform.

Platform Requirements

There are three easy steps to getting a fuel fill up alert set up on the platform, after creating the Asset and Device:

1. Create the correct IO Type (Analog or CAN) and calibrate as needed,

2. Create Asset Event Triggers to generate an event if the level rises above a level, or by a large amount over a few data positions, and

3. Create an Alert to trigger when the event is generated.
